I would like your take on the original GI Joe the movie. Why did it appeal as a child and does its message of good versus evil still hold up. "Principles fund war. Retreat funds principles. Call of duty ain’t free."John Ralph Tuccitto
My 5 year old son is watching the movie along with me. This movie entertains children and adults. Here's the appeal I see that is communicated through G.I. Joe The Movie: "Principles fund war. Retreat funds principles. Call of duty ain't free." Duty is the locomotion of control. Good and Evil want control. The grey area lies within one's duty to sway control (i.e.; when Cobra Commander turn-coats). Cobra didn't see the light of good, he or it, saw sway. The character's duty to country or domination are thanks to sway by force. When good grows, evil eats. See for yourself. Watch it (again). Hope this answers your question Dan. Cheers.
