Rude Chiefs

The moment I realized “friends” only reach out when they need something; without a thank you.  It’s a good thing now because it finally helped me ACCEPT that THEIR past character DOES NOT excuse THIER present character anymore.  I really wish nostalgia would promptly COMPARE itself to the present-day behaviour, because when a friendship dies, there’s never CLOSURE with reunions.  I’ve had GREAT friends ghost me for life.  I’ve GHOSTED great friends because the REUNIONS only reconstituted their PAST character, not the present; it doesn’t jive.  At my wedding, my best man said he wouldn’t have found his wife without my help.  They have two children.  I guess it’s not nepotism when it’s charity.  Friendships are a charity for rude chiefs.  I am a rude chief.  We are strangers now.  The present character prioritizes closure.  If nostalgia threatens your survival, you ghost them for life knowing their PRESENT character is the NEW nostalgia moving forward.  Ick!!!  All I can remember now is pomposity, rudeness and vain delusions.  Rude chiefs beat a dead horse with PAST character.

The worst that you are is only rude to you IF YOU DISTURB IT with your pathetic reunions...reunions never bring closure to your inconvenient regrets.  Why?  The truth sucks bullshit through the eye of a needle.

Sometimes, we have friends who only talk to us when they need something, and they don't even say thank you. I realized that even if someone was nice in the past, it doesn't mean they are nice now. I wish we could see clearly how people have changed because when friendships end, we don't get to say goodbye properly. I've had good friends stop talking to me forever, and I've stopped talking to good friends too because meeting them again just reminded me of how they used to be, not how they are now.

At my wedding, my best friend told everyone he wouldn't have met his wife without my help, and now they have two kids. Helping friends is like being kind without expecting anything back. Friendships can feel like giving to people who don't always give back. I realize I am also like that. Now we are strangers because who they are now is more important than who they used to be. If thinking about old times makes you sad, it's better to stop talking to those friends forever, knowing that how they are now is what matters going forward.

When we keep trying to be friends with people who were mean or rude in the past, it just brings back bad memories. Trying to fix these friendships never makes us feel better about our regrets. Why? Because the truth is really hard to accept sometimes.

My Twitter (or X) is the cross of crucifixion hammered together by koo-koos.  Space Judo is the conscience of a koo-koo.
