TRANSCRIPT
‘Land-locked Hick’ by John Ralph Tuccitto

Do you know what’s truly awful at being a stay-at-home dad?  I CAN pursue what I’m good at.  The problem is no one cares about what I’m good at.  So as a critic you’re no less genius of those that achieve success because the critical thinking is only as good as the data it’s trained on.  I’m trained off MY data that NO one is interested in.  Therefore, genius is not entirely accurate; genius is the entitlement exclusive data successfully builds with legal wealth.  This reality isolates me because there’s no one willing to box me.  Whether that’s a forgone conclusion or not, let the outcome of MY ISOLATION dictate my opponent’s fear or confidence.  I’m HAPPY to be proved wrong, are you?  I worked a job in a bank for nearly 12 years.  I WAS good at something someone else (worth a damn) is also good at.

Boss                        “What I’m good at makes me money.”

Student                “What I’m good at is better than what YOU’RE good at.”

Boss                        “Prove it.”

A niche is a niche because a niche is a speciality (that you can get sick of).  Take my cooking...my family is so picky, they’re all sick of my cooking.  Fine.  Chicken, broccoli, and rice.  Every meal now.  If you’re going to hate my cooking, it may as well be nutritious.  I’m not a cook, I’m a fucking poet.  Why ask a land-locked hick how to surf?  If the ocean were the most abundant real-estate on the planet (which it is), I’m a land-locked hick.  Why are you asking me to surf?  If surfing were the analogy of cooking, I’d would sooner starve than throw away food (I cooked).  I’m done.  Aren’t I entitled?  Yes, because I live in camp crazy.  Camp crazy is reality, and delusion is the fluid foundation that adjusts to your boss’s attention span for facts YOU raise courageously...

Reality is like chicken, broccoli, and rice, and delusion is the BBQ sauce.  When flesh becomes boring...be creative (with your cooking).  No.  It makes me more POETICALLY creative to survive my critic’s empty stomachs.  I’m a non-academic professor.  I’ll pay YOU, to listen to me.  What does that say about a service that MAKES YOU MONEY?!?!?!  Do you want to box my mind in the ring?  Yes?  Worst case you walk away with money through your preciously effortless attention.  Imagine...you made a living...performing nothing more than experiencing YOUR effortless attention.  Who gives a shit what I say, if the price is right?  What’s my motive?  I need outreach.  I need to profess.  The day I paying you makes your conscience CRITICALLY sick, pay ME what MY attention is worth to you (per minute).  Whether because I’m hopelessly awful, or hopelessly genuine.  I may be hopeless but I’m a consistent fluid you can introspect on poetically.  Know why you’re wrong, BEFORE you accept the consequences (to others) blindly.

If you’re an asshole to assholes, blind faith is worth sacrificing the peace.  Why?  Effortless attention creates entitled-intolerance.  My family effortlessly brushes away my meals, just like I brush away delusion: Reality is a fluid agony we deny with delusion and conspiracy.  News is PR funded by critics.

It seems like you've shared some content from John Ralph Tuccitto titled "Land-locked Hick". This appears to be a reflective piece exploring the themes of isolation, undervalued skills, and the struggle between reality and delusion, framed within the context of being a stay-at-home dad and a critic.
The text delves deeply into personal frustration with societal and familial roles, particularly emphasizing the undervaluation of one's passions and skills, which is a common feeling among those who find themselves diverging from traditional career paths. It contrasts the mundane and the creative, using cooking as a metaphor for life's monotonies and the need for creative expression to break from them.
If you want to discuss the themes, the structure, or any specific part of the text further, let me know!

Sure! So, this article is like a story written by someone who feels a bit like an outsider because he's a stay-at-home dad. He talks about how sometimes the things we are really good at might not be appreciated by others, and that can make us feel lonely or misunderstood. He uses cooking as an example. He's good at it, but his family gets tired of his food, which makes him feel like his efforts aren't valued.
He also talks about the difference between what's real and what people might pretend to be true, comparing plain food like chicken, broccoli, and rice to reality—simple and maybe a bit boring—and adding BBQ sauce to make it more exciting, like adding imagination or make-believe to life.
It's a bit like when you might feel nobody cares about a drawing or a game you made up, but you know it's special. He's saying it's okay to feel different or not understood, and he's trying to find ways to be happy and creative even when it's tough.
